Pictures
By Angel Dyulgerov, Bulgaria
All her words draw pictures.
For those who care
And for those who don’t.
It is easy to find the colour of sadness and joy
But not always easy to draw memories, dreams
And pain.
Hope must have the brightest colour
As it is the most difficult.
It is always hard to reconcile colours,
But she never leaves
Grey and black alone.
Even when she fails to draw the picture
She feels how strongly people crave for the feeling.
Sometimes at night
She wakes up from a sudden fear.
Days are always short and she is afraid
She may not be able
To sharpen the blunted pencils for tomorrow.
